Currently in December

Current Book(s): 'Where Are You Now' by Mary Higgins Clark, although I need to get more into it. I haven't really cared about reading lately and I miss it. My mother gave me this book and said it was one of her favorites. She knows that I'm a fan of drama/mystery/thriller. My favorite author for that genre is Janet Evanovich.

Current Playlist: I’ve whipped up my Christmas playlist and am loving every minute of it. I hate the Christmas music on the radio, but I can’t get enough of the music I’ve acquired over the years. Here are the albums in rotation: Andrew Peterson – Behold the Lamb of God, Eleven Eleven Band – Christmastime, Sarah McLachlan – Wintersong, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Over the Rhine – Snow Angels, Your King Has Come. Of course I’m always open to new music, so let me know if I’m missing anything essential!

Current Shame-Inducing Guilty Pleasure: Green Bean Casserole. Is that even something I should feel guilty over? Oh wait, yes the french fried onion = OH YUM.

Current Color: Deeper tone of red, I love it and working at Target has not affected my love for red (so far).

Current Drink: This amazingly delcious mocha hot chocolate. I always put a mug of fat free or 1% milk in the microwave for 2:22 minutes and mix in the powder. It's so much better than regular hot chocolate. More expensive too but way worth it.

Current Food: Green bean casserole, I don't know how many times I have typed this throughout the entire post. And hopefully the boyfriend will cook his delicious juicy cut up chicken with pineapple in it. And the strange thing is I detest pineapple except when he makes this dish. Oh and oranges too. I have been eating two everyday in the past week and I am sad to say that we're out. If only Sean's phone was on so I could get him to pick up more on the way home.

Current Favorite Show: Dexter and Nip/Tuck. I love those shows, Sean and I finished the third season of Dexter recently and I'm anxious for the fourth/current season to finish already so they can get the DVDs distributed. I watched the first five seasons of Nip/Tuck via DVD since 2005 and I just love it. This year I'm thrilled to say that I'm keeping up with season six weekly. I'm definitely looking forward to the latest episode tonight!

Current Wishlist: I still would love more things for my camera such as a handheld speedlight (with a cord too of course) and various lenses (especially macro omg). Those are so ridiculously expensive. Some day :] Oh and a spacebar for my laptop would be nice too.

Current Needs: To get serious about job hunting within my field again. And food. I'm hungry. Mmm green bean casserole is sounding even more and more mouth-watering.

Current Triumphs: Getting high praises at work, though this leads me to probably getting my hope up too high to be asked to continue working for them once the seasonal period is over.

Current Bane(s) of my Existence: Slushy rain/snow. If it was a warm rainy day or cold snowy day, okay, but inbetween? No thanks. And have painfully red, dry flaky nose that is still trying to recover from a cold. Go away cold already, won't you?

Current Celebrity Crush: mmm.. dare I say Taylor Lautner? I visualize him as a human toaster, lack for a better term. He would be incredibly useful throughout this cold winter, plus what a hunk!

Current Indulgence: Green bean casserole. In fact I think I will make one as soon I publish.

Current Blessing(s): Being comfortable financially, having a wonderful boyfriend of 4 and a half year (in three days actually) whos there for me through the ups and downs, and having tons of blankets and fuzzy socks to stay warm so I don't have to worry about paying a ridiculously high bill for heat.

Current Outfit: Bright/hot pink striped socks, maroon sweatpant that makes my ass look good, long-sleeved dark purple shirt that says Enchanted (from the movie, why else). I know, it's a very sexy look, be very jealous.

Current Excitement: Going home to Houston and seeing my family and friends on Christmas day. Could this day come any sooner?

Current Mood: Content and warm for the most part. And also inspired. I just saw Julie&Julia and it gave me the urge to do something that makes me happy. I just have to figure out what it is. If you have not seen that movie, I suggest that you get in your car and drive to your nearest Redbox or Blockbuster right now, it's worth it.

Current Link: Different blogs really, I love reading other people's blog whether it's incredibly whimsical, funny, romantic, etc. It's always such a delight when I find a new one (to my eyes) to follow.
