I've been keeping rather busy working at least 32 plus hours for a couple weeks straight so far. Doing nothing one month then working that many hours the next has taken awhile for me to adjust. But I admit it, while my feet hurt by the end of the day and my back sometimes as well, I love not being cooped up in the apartment. Laziness is how I love to roll sometimes, but sometimes enough is enough. I have today and tomorrow off (yes!) However, I wouldn't mind getting called in to take over for some sick person though (don't judge me, I would like to keep this job after the seasons are over).
I had a pleasant short conversation with my sister over AIM yesterday (a rarity; I'm jealous of sisters who have amazing close relationships no matter how far apart they are.) She asked me about what I have been doing lately photography wise and I was embarrassed that my answer was nothing as of lately. I shouldn't act my time off as the time I should hang onto for the sake of nothing. While it's too frigid outside in my opinion (and it's 55-60* inside the apartment, so another 30* drop? no thanks ma'am), I decided to let the mice out on the windowsill to play. Yes mice, I have two of them now. And I call them P.P. And yes, I'm aware it sounds like I'm calling them pee-pee. It's just easier than saying Pear and Pineapple. Why those names, don't ask me. A friend couldn't keep them anymore for several reasons: she lives in the dorm where all animals but fish (except the fighting kind) are forbidden; had her best friend keep them in her apartment where she visited constantly; had a fight with said best friend; the best friend decided to buy mice toys for her cat; this resulted in her worrying that the best friend's cat would go after her babies. I know, that was a lovely story. So I ended up with them. And I don't mind. They're way easy to take care of, and they're quite entertaining too. They're difficult to photograph but worth the challenge.

Our "nephew cat", Punkin decided he wanted to play on the windowsill too.
Fortunately enough, it was on a different windowsill so the mice were safe where they were. Having him around today got me wanting a cat all over again. It didn't help that my mother decided to send photographs of Alpha, Beta, and Sigma, the kittens from home. That's another story for another post.
