Ever since I fell in love with the city I originally did not like

Since coming back from Boston...

...I have gotten back into the dull daily flow of my life. For unknown reasons, I have been the opposite of a social butterfly (aside from work and Sean). I don't know if it was the 30* cold weather after coming back from perfect 60s-70s weather that kept me cooped inside. To be frank, I don't mind being anti-social every now and then.

...The number of wild mice in the little cage has skyrocketed from 4 to a jaw-dropping total of 10. Due to the small space and overwhelming smell of poop, we could not be more ready for the weather to get warm again and stay warm. It's time to say goodbye to them.

[Caught this little fella in action before catching it within the next couple days.]

...I completed a book in one day which is pretty unusual for me. "The Choice" by Nicholas Sparks was an easy read and left me a bit teary at the end.

...Went on a shopping trip with Sean and got him his first suit. My man is growing up! :) He is graduating in May so he's been interviewing for jobs in the networking field and it's coming along good so far. He looks strikingly handsome, don't you think?

[So strikingly handsome that he's striking a pose. Ah, I crack myself up.]

...I signed up for Netflix. The first thing I added to my queue is Beverly Hills, 90210, Season 6. I didn't watch this when I was younger. Maybe because it wasn't a good idea for a 4/5 year old to be obsessed with Brandon Walsh in 1990. Two decades later, it's finally okay. It's about high time I resumed where I left off.

...I am longing for Boston. It was not my first trip there, but I never got to enjoy the city until this recent trip. Let's just say I am now unconditionally and irrevocably in love with the city. And yes, I stole the line from Twilight (don't judge me). I intend to create a new post focusing on Boston alone, hopefully in the next few days with tons of photos.

[See how sad were to leave the amazing city and weather?]

Currently...

...I'm trying to get back into job searching, particularly Dallas/Fort Worth area. Just a couple years ago, I swore that I would not move back to my home state. Today, I am not that girl anymore. Now I am actually okay I am okay with the possibility of living in north Texas for several reasons. So far, the search has been frustrating, but no ma'am, I will not give up.

...I'm feeling satisfied to have gotten my tabbouleh (yum) and baklava (double yum) fix. Sean and I took a much needed opportunity to go out and treat ourselves to dinner date at a local Mediterranean place.

...I'm about a third done with my current book, "Prep" by Curtis Sittenfeld. At first, I was feeling pretty la-la about it, but now I'm getting a better sense of the character and getting more into the book.

Upcoming...

...I am excited about this weekend. The first person I met when I enrolled at RIT (aka my first roommate) is coming to town and I am looking forward to seeing her again. Our sorority is having it's annual formal event where we get all dressed up, cruise in limos, and dance the night away. My dress isn't the greatest (though it suits the Las Vegas theme), however I'm stoked to wear my first pair of HIGH heels. We're talking 4.5 inches high. Oh yes. :)

[Best of all, I can actually walk in these babies.]

...I am trying to pull my head together. By that, I mean get motivated. I must sound like every other person who talk about goals that they plan to complete but don't actually follow through. Granted, I am one of those people sometimes, but there are just some things that I really need to do. I just need to actually get my hands dirty (but not literally).

  1. Have an awesome time at Violet Ball! :) Wish Tyler and I could attend. Sean looks awesome in that suit, lol.
